Mihal Ehven , LMP, CGBT at Seattle Bodywork Co-op by Cameron Karsten Photography

Mihal began to learn massage therapy in order to practice primarily on her family. As a mother of four, she realized the beneficial effects that massage has on growing bodies, and felt the need to add massage to her basket of mothering skills. After completing her initial training, Mihal realized that her new found interest was also of interest to others. She expanded her “practice” to offer women’s bodywork and pediatric massage, and a new service was born. Mihal specializes in gynecologic and abdominal massage which is effective in reducing menstrual pain and inter-menstrual bleeding. She also specializes in adjunct therapy for scoliosis. Visit Mihal's independent website at Every Woman Needs Massage and call 206.524.4444 to schedule your next massage.

Along Mexico's Afternoon

There is a time in space to just be. And by just being, by just resting in the present moment, a channel of abundance opens and all you feel you will ever need at this moment in time will be right in front of you. Whether it's rest, food, play or work. It will be there by being present.

It is a challenge to not feel and witness the abundance in Nature when traveling. Already, the senses are on high alert; looking, observing, sniffing so as not to miss a thing. A simple pleasure turns into an exponential endeavor into joy and delight. Taking to the road with each new day is my metaphor I'm seeking to cultivate while settling in one location. It means living as if traveling a new culture, a new language, a new day. It means living with the fewest plans so the freedom of spontaneity may move me. So I can be here now; and rest when I need to rest, eat when I feel like eating, playing when playful and work while the creative energy spurns me.

Take to the road as though you're in a new place at the right time. Surely, we all are.

Nicole Farmer Mala Beads by Cameron Karsten Photography

On Thursday, April 30th, 2009 I met with Nicole Farmer in her quaint apartment on Queen Anne. We set up studio lights in Nicole's yoga room and began the designs. With creative freedom, she allowed me to explore the colors and intricacies of her mala beads, thus creating a portrait of each string that radiates a beautiful energy.

I had an awesome time on this project, spending three and a half hours under the hot lights feeling the heat and the energies of the artwork. Nicole's website is up with Esty.com!
